PAST SIMPLE TENSE OR PAST TENSE

                                        PAST SIMPLE TENSE         
                                                         OR
                                                 PAST TENSE
DEFINITION:-
                         Such verb, which denotes that the subject did some work in past time that is called past tense or past simple tense.

NOTE:- (1)
                  This tense shows an action of the subject but in previous time.
EXAMPLE:-
                     Raheem broke a jar.
                     Safia drank water.
NOTE:- (2)
                  “Did” is the helping verb to this tense.
NOTE:- (3)
                  “Did” is used, when we change an assertive sentence in to interrogative, negative, int & neg or emphatic.
NOTE:- (4)
                  Second form of the verb is used in this tense.
NOTE:- (5)
                  “When did is used, then first form is used by all the subjects.

CONJUGATION:-
  I bought.
  We bought.
  You bought.

ASSERTIVR
(1)            Ysamin broke a glass.
(2)            Kamal won the prize.
(3)            A baby peeped.

INTERROGATIVE
(1)            Did Yasmin break a glass?
(2)            Did Kamal win the prize?
(3)            Did a baby peep?

NEGATIVE
(1)            Yasmin did not break a glass.
(2)            Kamal did not win the prize.
(3)            A baby did not peep.

INT & NEG
(1)            Did Yasmin not break a glass?
(2)            Did Kamal not win the prize?
(3)            Did a baby not peep?

EMPHATIC
(1)            Yasmin did break a glass.
(2)            Kamal did win the prize.
(3)            A baby did peep.
