PAST PERFECT TENSE

                          PAST PERFECT TENSE

DEFINITION:-
                        Such verb, which denotes that the subject started some work in past time that is called past perfect tense.

NOTE:- (1)
                   This tense shows the completion of an action in past time.
EXAMPLE:-
(1)            We had seen rainy days, because of you.
(2)            Pakistan had won the Asia cup.

NOTE:- (2)
               “Had” is its helping verb which is followed by all the subjects.

NOTE:- (3)
                   “Third” form of the verb is used in this tense.

CONJUGATION

ASSERTIVE
(1)            Aslam’s father had bequeathed.
(2)            I had agreed with you.
(3)            He had apologized for his rudeness.
(4)            I had caught a parrot on the wall.

INTERROGATIVE
(1)            Had Aslam’s father bequeathed?
(2)            Had I agreed with you?
(3)            Had he apologized for his rudeness?
(4)            Had I  caught a parrot on the wall?

NEGATIVE
(1)            Aslam’s father had not bequeathed.
(2)            I had not agreed with you.
(3)            He had not apologized for his rudeness.
(4)            I had not caught a parrot on the wall.

(1)            Had Aslam’s father not bequeathed?
(2)            Had I not agreed with you?
(3)            Had he not apologized for his rudeness?
