PAST SIMPLE TENSE
OR
PAST TENSE
DEFINITION:-
Such verb, which
denotes that the subject did some work in past time that is called past tense
or past simple tense.
NOTE:- (1)
This tense shows an action of
the subject but in previous time.
EXAMPLE:-
Raheem broke a jar.
Safia drank water.
NOTE:- (2)
“Did” is the helping verb to
this tense.
NOTE:- (3)
“Did” is used, when we change
an assertive sentence in to interrogative, negative, int & neg or emphatic.
NOTE:- (4)
Second form of the verb is
used in this tense.
NOTE:- (5)
“When did is used, then first
form is used by all the subjects.
